Another dress inspired by a dress from this plate from Godey's Lady's Book. The pink dress on the far right is the one I based my drawing on. This dress is made of silk with leaves embroidered on the skirt. The flowers at the neck and sleeves are made of the same silk fabric as the dress. Alberta Belinda and her first page of outfits will be available for printing HERE on the first of April, as long as unforeseen circumstances do not interrupt.

Inspired by a dress from Plate 70 in the 80 Godey's Full Color Fashion Plates 1838-1880 book. This dress is made of silk with a lace overlay at the neck and a stand up ruffle- also of lace. There are lace ruffles at the cuffs as well. A white drapery across the front of the skirt is pull together at the back by flowers that match the flowers at the neck. Alberta Belinda and her first page of outfits will be available for printing HERE on the first of April, as long as unforeseen circumstances do not interrupt.
Billie Jo This dress is made of sateen with butterfly sleeves to match the ruffled hem of the skirt. A belt of the same sateen completes the outfit. Billie Jo This dress is made of medium-weight linen. The double-breasted jacket is made of the same fabric as the dress and has wooden buttons. The collar and cuffs are of lace. Billie Jo We are very sorry, but due to life circumstances, the posting of the next dress will be delayed a day or two.
Thanks for your understanding! Mel This dress is made of a crinkly gauze fabric. The bodice has a V-neck and the skirt is full and cut A-line. The wide belt is made of a thin, shimmery fabric. Billie Jo Today Alberta Belinda is going to a party. Her dress is silk with a tulle overskirt and a matching silk bolero. She wears satin covered shoes and around her neck is a gold chain with a heart pendant. Billie Jo Today Alberta is going to make a cake. Over her long skirted, short-sleeved, cotton dress she wears an apron made from an old sheet. (Old sheets make GREAT aprons.) The apron is ruffled at the neck, arms and hem. It ties in the back. Hopefully it will be a great tasting cake!

It's an a-line dress made from a sturdy knit with an appliqued flower, stem and leaves. Lightweight for summer heat but sturdy enough for hard play. The Paper Doll Bag!!! For a while now, my sisters and I have wanted to have a site where printable, hand drawn, paper dolls and outfits were offered free. Finally, that dream is coming true. We plan to post twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Each post will have one doll or outfit. When there are enough outfits to fit on a page of standard computer paper, the page will be available for download and printing. This first young lady is named Alberta Belinda. I drew her as a birthday gift for my younger sister Princess and she named her.
Alberta Belinda's mama (me :D) loves making clothes for her. I am interested in several different eras of fashion, so Alberta Belinda's wardrobe will be a mix of dresses from various historical eras. She will also have some modern outfits. Alberta Belinda and her first page of outfits will be available for printing HERE on the first of April, as long as unforeseen circumstances do not interrupt. Please, feel free and welcome to give us your feedback. We love feedback. Enjoy! Blessings! Billie Jo |
